Clay Plastering a Prairie Landscape with Tipis!

This is a picture form the group project we did during the training “Designer in Clay Plastering”. The tipi wall is part of a room concept we made for a children’s room in the attic of the house. All the plasters are “home-made” and based on clay mixed with sand. We added pigments to achieve the colors we were looking for and fine straw in some parts to add texture to the wall. We used different techniques, amongst them sgraffito and in the right corner there is going to be a relief sculpted buffalo! DSC_0532
